The Gilles Villeneuve Circuit is the venue for the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix and, as of 2007, a NASCAR Busch Series race and Grand American Rolex Series race. The circuit, on Île Notre-Dame, a man-made island in the St. Lawrence River that is part of the city of Montreal, was named after the late Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve, father of Jacques Villeneuve.
From MontréalTrudeauAirport, take Highway 20 East, then take Highway 15 toward the ChamplainBridge. Take the Bonaventure exit toward downtown. Exit at Cité du Havre, then turn right onto Avenue Pierre-Dupuy. Once over the ConcordeBridge, turn onto Ile Notre-Dame and follow directions to the Casino de Montréal.
Note that during the racing weekend, you will not be able to access the site with your own vehicle and you will be directed to the Casino de Montréal main entrance, if you are on a taxi cab you will be dropped at the Montreal Casino entrance.
