Get ready for a full day of on-track activity and a night of old school, short track racing “under the lights” on Friday, May 1 at Richmond International Raceway.
The 2009 racing season at America’s Premier Short Track kicks off with practice and pole qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Series, as well as practice and pole qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Friday night features the Lipton Tea 250 Nationwide Series race, as all of the up-and-comers will battle it out with some Sprint Cup Series veterans on Richmond’s ¾-mile track. This race always features intense, side-by-side racing, ending with a mad dash to the checkered flag.
Tickets are $45 (reserved) and $35 (general admission) in advance. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission sections.
Reserved tickets for this event will be available on December 6, 2008.
