Join us Oct. 10 for a Championship doubleheader featuring the high-tech cars
of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series and the high-speed stars of the IndyCar
Series. Road racing supremacy will be decided on the highly technical and
demanding Homestead-Miami Speedway 2.21 mile road course featuring Miami
resident Oswaldo Negri, actor Patrick Dempsey and Scott Pruett. The race for the
Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Championship is a two and a half hour timed
test of man and machine. The fireworks continue into the night as the drivers in
the IndyCar Series will clash under the lights to decide the IndyCar Series
Championship. Danica Patrick, Key Biscayne resident Tony Kanaan, South Beach's
Marco Andretti and will battle for the Championship at speeds over 230 miles per
hour. The 2009 NextEra Energy Resources SpeedJam Championships will also feature
the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series championship event, and a full-day festival
of car shows, Barbeque and a Kids Zone.
