Once again, Richmond International Raceway is the place to be for “One Last Race to Make The Chase.” For the fifth consecutive year, America’s Premier Short Track will host the final race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series “regular season.” Once the checkered flag drops on Saturday, September 6 at the Chevy Rock ‘N Roll 400, the field will be set for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
This race always features drama and intrigue. In 2004, Jeremy Mayfield entered the event on the outside looking in, but went on to win the Chevy Rock ‘n Roll 400, racing his way into The Chase in dramatic fashion. In 2006, Kasey Kahne finished third at Richmond International Raceway, stealing a spot in The Chase from Tony Stewart. One can only imagine what this year’s Chevy Rock ‘n Roll 400 will bring!
